NavAlert
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does the NavAlert cover my area?
A: Yes. The online database is constantly being updated with
any new speed and red light cameras. Most are added to the database
weeks before they have even been activated. This database of speed
and red light cameras cover the entire United States and Canada.
Q: Why should I buy the NavAlert when I can just
use a license plate cover or spray?
A: NavAlert will warn you of any speed or red light camera ahead
and it is 100% legal in all 50 states. Plate covers are not legal
in some states and are easy for police to see. Sprays will only
work if there is a flash and some newer cameras are now beating
license plate sprays. NavAlert will also alert you to known speed
trap areas and give you your current speed while telling you if
you need to slow down when an alert is sounded.
Q: How does the Speed Trap Warning Work?
A: We use a national database of speed camera locations, these
locations are known locations that the police use to set up radar
and laser speed traps. This is a highly effective way of saving
you from a ticket when traveling on roads or highways. It is also
a great addition to your radar detector as many radar detectors
will not save you from a speed trap if you are the only one on the
road. The reason for this is some police will not turn on their
radar until you are in range ... your radar detector will sound
but it is usually too late unless you have a NavAlert.
Q: Is there any shipping charges if I purchase
a NavAlert?
A: We give free UPS Ground shipping on all NavAlert purchases
and faster shipping is available at reasonable prices.
Q: Do I pay sales tax if I purchase a NavAlert
from this site?
A: No. We pay all sales tax should it apply.
Q: Is the NavAlert Upgradable?
A: The NavAlert's database of speed and red light cameras is
completely upgradable using your computer, the included CD and the
Free online database. Instructions for updating the NavAlerts database
is in the owners manual.
